NEW YORK, Dec. 13, 2016 — Verve™, the industry leader in location-powered mobile marketing, today announced the appointment of Mary Baglivo as its first independent board director. Baglivo is chief marketing officer and vice president of global marketing at Northwestern University. Prior to Northwestern, she spent eight years as chairman and chief executive officer at Saatchi & Saatchi, The Americas. Baglivo’s former leadership roles also include president at Havas’ Arnold Worldwide, chief executive officer at Panoramic Communications, and chief operating officer at J. Walter Thompson.

For the past three years, Baglivo’s leadership at Northwestern has been marked by major branding initiatives. As the Chicago Business Journal notes, Baglivo has put “big creative” at the heart of the university’s efforts to attract top students worldwide.
During her tenure at Saatchi & Saatchi, clients included P&G, General Mills, and Toyota. Baglivo’s tenure also included major new accounts added, including Chase Sapphire; Lenovo; Miller Brewing; Wendy’s; JC Penney; Avaya; Ameriprise; and top Kraft brands Trident, Capri Sun, and Kool-Aid.
